Carla
Markwart, local artist and teacher, and her mother, Cora Markwart,
an artist and former teacher who has recently moved to Galesburg
from the Chicago area, will be exhibiting drawings and watercolors
from June 1 to July 31, 2005 at Q's Cafe, 319 E. Main St., Galesburg.
The artists' reception will be Thursday, June 16 from 4 to 6
pm at the Cafe. The public is invited to meet the artists and
refreshments will be served.
Carla will be showing recent portrait drawings in ink and landscapes
in watercolor. Cora Markwart is showing watercolors from the
1940's and a few from the 1960's, including landscapes, cityscapes
and interiors. She earned her BFA at the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago.
